Relay Management

The device's configuration interface offers sections for WiFi and Hotspot settings, allowing operators to customize their network preferences easily. Operators can input WiFi network details and configure a personalized hotspot with its SSID and password. Convenient buttons enable seamless application of changes and device rebooting.

Within the main settings area, operators can specify WiFi and hotspot settings, toggling between relay, hotspot, and Ethernet modes for versatile connectivity. Dedicated sections for Relay and Main Details allow fine-tuning of settings and input of essential information like nickname and port number. The Logs section facilitates troubleshooting and monitoring activities.

Finding your Relay´s IP and Accessing the Relay Control Page

Once the setup is complete, you'll need to access the Relay's management control page.

Finding Relay IP:

  • Connect your device to the same network as the Relay (either via Ethernet or the WiFi network you set up).

  • Open your router's admin interface (typically accessed via a web browser at http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1). Login using your router's credentials (usually found on the back of your router).

  • Locate the list of connected devices, and find the entry corresponding to your Relay. The IP address listed here is your Relay's LAN IP.

Accessing the Relay Control Page Web User Interface:

  • Open a web browser on a device connected to the same network as the Relay.

  • Enter the Relay's LAN IP address in the browser's address bar (e.g., http://[Relay LAN IP]:80).

  • You'll be prompted to enter credentials to access the control page. Use the following:

    • Username: relayup

    • Password: admin

Relay Home Dashboard (version 1.3.2)

The Home Dashboard shows the Status and Information of your Hardware Relay

As of version 2.0.0, the dashboard has been updated and improved. If you haven't updated your Hardware Relay yet, you can find instructions for updating to the latest version at https://docs.anyone.io/hardware/updates.

Network Settings and Relay Modes

Network Relay Modes:

Contributing Bandwidth to the Network support decentralized services. By operating in a Wireless relay mode, your device helps relay data packets between network nodes, enhancing network efficiency and resilience anywhere.

WiFi Relay Mode

Toggle to Relay Mode, apply, and restart the device to activate Relay Mode and make the WiFi settings take effect.

Toggle to Disabled, apply and restart the device to Disable Relay Mode.

If you prefer a WiFi connection, you can still leave the Ethernet as "Enabled" and make sure that No TCP/IP cable is inserted into the device, as this will prioritize the Ethernet connection over the WiFi connection.

Hotspot Mode

This mode is intended to configure the relay as an access point, allowing devices to connect to it and utilize the internet connection. With future updates, this feature will also route the traffic of device clients through the Anon network to anonymize it.

Relay Settings

Fine-tune relay settings and input relevant information such as nickname, email, wallet ID, and port number. Executable and API locations are optional, and it is recommended not to change them. Recurring Data Limit(Accounting) and Bandwidth Settings can also be applied from this section.

Change User Password

Allows you to change the password for accessing the relay device's configuration interface.

Logs

The Logs section provides detailed system logs, essential for troubleshooting and monitoring the relay's activity. Users can access various log files like "bootstrap.log" and "notices.log" to review operational data directly from the interface. It offers insights into the relay's performance and status for effective troubleshooting and proactive monitoring.
